The World We Share

 The World We Share is an international choral project featuring the voices and ideas of young people from around the world. In 2025-2026, 16 songs were divided between 4 international choirs: Each group premiered four original songs about how we are all connected on the beautiful planet we share. 

To make this global connection real, four incredible choirs took part in this project – The San Francisco Girls Chorus, conducted by Valerie Sainte-Agathe, from Australia the Sydney Children’s Choir conducted by Lyn Williams & Sam Allchurch, from Ireland the Dublin Youth Choir conducted by Lynsey Callaghan and from Scotland the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Youth Chorus conducted by Patrick Barrett.

The theme of The World We Share surrounds the classical elements (earth, air, water, fire) that cross borders and boundaries. We ask young people to reflect on how each of these elements arises in the natural world around them, how they connect us and how the fundamental challenges of our world are ones we share across international and cultural boundaries.

The World We Share highlights the value of cultural exchange, asking kids to consider the big questions and sing the stories and ideas of others from around the world.
