This year, we take the stage at the Herbst Theatre for our annual Spring concert. Come and enjoy songs of the season with Level I, Level II, Concert Group and Premier Ensemble.

This concert includes the recording of “The World We Share,” an international choral project featuring the voices and ideas of young people from around the world by composer Russell Hepplewhite and lyricist Seth Bockley.

The World We Share is an international choral project featuring the voices and ideas of young people from around the world. Composer Russell Hepplewhite and lyricist Seth Bockley began in 2024 by conducting surveys with members of four youth choirs. These young people’s ideas and words inspired the sixteen songs that make up the cycle.

The artists asked young people from Sydney, Scotland, Ireland and San Francisco (your own SFGC!) to reflect on the classical elements (earth, air, water, fire) that cross borders and boundaries—how each of these elements arises in the natural world around them and how they connect us. The piece is environmental, considering humans’ impact on the world, and how the fundamental challenges of our planet are ones we share across international and cultural boundaries.
