New Students

First time joining us? Fill out the form below to start the enrollment process!*

* Please note that Singing Placements for ages 6-14 for the 2025-26 School Year have closed.

Step 1: Fill out the Interest Form

Fill out this form to start the enrollment process. If you have any questions or comments about the program, you can enter them here. After submitting the form, an SFGC staff member will be in touch within 1-2 business days.

Step 2: Complete a Singing Placement

After submitting an Interest Form, we’ll email you a link to sign up for a Singing Placement. We host these meetings to get to know each singer and ensure they are placed in the correct ensemble based on their age and skill level. Placements are for singers who will be between the ages of 6-14 by September 30th. Singers ages 4-5 should join our Prep Chorus, which doesn’t require a Placement!

Step 3: Apply for Tuition Assistance (Optional)

SFGC is proud to offer tuition assistance for our regular school-year programming, made possible by the Elizabeth Avakian Scholarship Fund. Our Tuition Assistance Application for the 2025-26 school year has now closed. In future school years, you’ll receive a link to the application after submitting an Interest Form. For more information about the Tuition Assistance application process, visit our Tuition Assistance page.

Step 4: Fill out the Registration Form & complete your payment

Once your singer has been placed in an ensemble (and you’ve submitted a Tuition Assistance Application if needed), we’ll email you a link to register for our program. You’ll find out which ensemble you’re invited to join at that time. New families can expect to receive a link to register for the 2025-26 School Year in SFGC on May 15th, 2025. You’ll have one month to complete the registration form, which should take about 20 minutes to complete. Space is limited in our classes, so make sure that you fill out this form sooner rather than later to secure your spot! The deadline to submit the registration form for Training Chorus and above is June 15th, 2025. Prep Chorus registration will remain open through August 15th, 2025. We hope you will join us!

Step 5: Register for Summer Camp (Level II and above)

The Camp Form will open on June 16th, 2025. Singers attending camp (required for Level II, Concert Group, and Premier Ensemble) will have until July 1st, 2025 to complete the Camp Form. After submitting your information for Camp, you are completely registered for our program! For more information about Summer Music Camp, visit our Summer Programs page.

Returning Students

Once you’re registered for our program, you won’t need to fill out an Interest Form or complete another Singing Placement. At the end of the school year, our faculty meet to determine whether each singer will advance to the next ensemble or spend another year in their current ensemble. This includes current Prep Chorus singers, who move up to Training Chorus by director recommendation and do not need to complete a Singing Placement. Promotion decisions for returning singers will be released this year on May 23rd, along with a link to register for the coming school year. The deadline to submit the registration form for Training Chorus and above is June 15th, 2025. Prep Chorus registration will remain open through August 15th, 2025.

Returning students receive a link to our Tuition Assistance application on the day that we open it, and do not need to submit an Interest Form in order to receive the link. We’ll just send it to you!

Singers in Level II and above will need to complete the Camp Form after submitting the initial Registration Form.

If you have previously exited from the chorus and would like to rejoin us, SFGC does require your singer to complete another Placement. This allows us to reassess their skill set and musical readiness in order to place them in an ensemble that best fits their current needs. If you are rejoining us after a period of time away, please submit an Interest Form.
