2023-2024 TUITION POLICIES

Payment Deadlines:

Please note that if a tuition payment has not been received by the first day of a camp or the first rehearsal of the school year, the student may not participate. 

Summer Music Camp 2023:

  • A completed registration and tuition form is due by July 14, 2023. Late submissions will incur a $25 late processing fee.

  • Payment due by check or by credit card via Chorus Connection on August 1 

School Year 2023-2024 Training Chorus - Premier Ensemble:

  • A completed tuition form is due by July 14, 2023. Late submissions will incur a $25 late processing fee.

  • Payment Plan Due Dates:

    • One Payment

      • Payment due by check or processed by credit card via Chorus Connection on August 1 

    • Monthly Payments

      • Families may pay tuition in monthly installments, August 2023 - May 2024

School Year 2023-2024 Prep Chorus:

  • Payment Plan Due Dates:

    • One Payment 

      • Payment due by check or credit card by June 30, 2023 for early bird rate OR

      • After June 30th, a regular rate payment is due by check or credit card by the choristers first rehearsal or September 30th, whichever is first.

    •  Monthly Payment

      • Families may pay tuition in monthly installments, with the first monthly installment beginning before the first rehearsal.

REFUND POLICIES

Summer Music Camp Refund Policy
There are no refunds for Summer Music Camp.

Chorus School Tuition Refund Policy for School Year 2023-2024
Refund requests (minus the $100 non-refundable deposit) will be honored through September 30, 2023 and from January 1 - 31, 2024, with a completed Leave/Exit form, for Levels Prep - Level IV. A Leave/Exit form can be requested from your chorister’s Director. Requests outside of the refund dates will not be granted. 

Refund amounts will be granted as follows:

  • Refund Amounts through September 30:

    • If requested prior to the start of the semester, a full refund will be granted minus the $100 non-refundable deposit.

    • If requested between the start of the semester - September 30, a monthly prorated refund will be granted based on the refund request date, minus the $100 non-refundable deposit.

    • If on a payment plan, if an account is current, future payments after the refund request date will be cancelled. 

  • Refund Amounts for January 1 - 31:

    • If requested January 1 - 31, 2024, a monthly prorated refund will be granted based on refund request date after January 1, minus the $100 non-refundable deposit.

    • If on a payment plan, if an account is current, future payments after the refund request date will be cancelled. 

Premier Ensemble is a full year commitment and leaves/exits are only allowed by special request.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE / EXIT PROCEDURE

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Choristers have the option of taking one Leave of Absence from the Chorus School for up to one Chorus Year (academic school cycle) with guaranteed re-entry. Choristers returning from Leave must complete a Re-Entry Assessment made up of a singing portion and a theory portion to ensure they are being re-admitted into an appropriate Level. Choristers are not guaranteed to return to the Level that they left. Choristers who take a leave just after being promoted are not guaranteed re-entry into the Level to which they were promoted. Choristers are not guaranteed to return to a Level that is age-appropriate for them if their musical level has dropped during their time away from Chorus.

All choristers who take a Leave of Absence must return in the Camp/Fall semester. There are no mid-year returns or mid-year auditions. Re-Entry Assessments will be scheduled in the late spring and early summer, at the same time as auditions (late May/early June).

Choristers returning from Leave in Levels II, III & IV are not exempt from the mandatory Summer Session (Day Camp) and Summer Music Camp (Away Camp) attendance. Choristers in Levels III and IV must attend both to resume in the fall session.

Premier Ensemble is a full year commitment. Leaves of absence from Premier Ensemble will only be granted in exceptional circumstances, and require the completion of a Special Circumstances form and meetings with the Artistic Director.

Choristers who take Leave will not be refunded their costume & music deposit, even though they must return their costumes and music at the time of their leave. Only when a chorister Exits is their costume deposit returned. If costume and music are not returned within one month of Leave start date, any deposit will be forfeited and acknowledged as a donation to the Scholarship Fund. A chorister who wants to return from Leave who did not return their form, costume and music will have to submit a new costume deposit upon re-entry.

EXIT PROCEDURE

When a chorister decides to discontinue her participation in Chorus, or if she chooses not to return when her Leave period is over, she will need to officially Exit from the Chorus. Once the Exit form is returned, her costume & music deposit will be refunded or donated, and she will no longer be able to re-enter the Chorus School without a formal audition. Any chorister who does not return the form within one month of receipt forfeits her costume & music deposit to the scholarship fund.
