Thomas Wade, Training Chorus Director

Thomas Wade works as a singer and choir director in the Bay Area. A native of Palo Alto, Mr. Wade holds a B.M. in vocal performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He teaches fifth grade music for the San Mateo-Foster City School district as well as private voice lessons. Mr. Wade brings over a decade of choral experience to the San Francisco Girls Chorus. He grew up singing with the Ragazzi Boys Chorus and spent his high school years with Chanticleer’s LAB Choir.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Wade maintains and active performance career. He sings regularly with SF Lyric Chorus, SF Renaissance Voices, Trinity-St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and is on faculty for the Philharmonia Baroque Chorale.

In 2017, Mr. Wade joined the faculty of the Ragazzi Boys Chorus. That same year, he completed an internship at Young Women’s Choral Projects of San Francisco as Choral Fellow for Susan McMane. He currently runs the theory program at Ragazzi’s San Mateo location and directs its alumni ensemble, Ragazzi Continuo.

Mr. Wade is thrilled to work with the San Francisco Girls Chorus School and direct the Training Chorus to help choristers begin their SFGC journey. He has completed Level 1 Kodály training at Holy Names University.
