On Friday, March 15, the San Francisco Girls Chorus will hold its 40th Anniversary Gala at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in downtown San Francisco and honor Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, as the inaugural recipient of the 2019 Elizabeth Appling Arts Champion Award.
An evening to raise vital support for the Elizabeth Avakian Need-Based Scholarship Fund and SFGC's Education Programs, the gala will include remarks by Honorary Committee Chair and San Francisco Mayor London Breed, an exquisite multi-course dinner, performances by members of the GRAMMY Award-winning Premier Ensemble and SFGC’s Chorus School, live auction, and more.
