Mark Grisez is Acting Associate Principal Trumpet of the San Francisco Symphony. He joined the orchestra in 2014 and has also played as principal trumpet of the California Symphony in Walnut Creek, CA. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2015 under the instruction of David Burkhart and Mark Inouye. While in school, he was a member of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2012 to 2014 and represented the Conservatory at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. for the Millennium Stage Conservatory Project with his brass quintet. He has performed as a fellow for both the National Repertory Orchestra in 2013 and the Tanglewood Music Center in 2014 and has been a substitute player with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, FL.
