The Womanly Song of God
In 2008 the San Francisco Girls Chorus commissioned acclaimed American composer Libby Larsen to write a celebratory piece expanding the boundaries of young women's voices to mark our 25th anniversary season. She more than met anyone's expectations with her soaring and gorgeous "The Womanly Voice of God" based on the poetry of Catherine de Vinck.
