Saturday, May 31, at 8:00pm
San Francisco Conservatory of Music Concert Hall
50 Oak Street, San Francisco

The season closes with the Chorus’ debut in the San Francisco Conservatory’s dazzling new Concert Hall. The evening features an innovative partnership with ODC/Dance in internationally-acclaimed choreographer Brenda Way’s new work Life is a House. Created in collaboration with the Chorus, the multi-media work received its world premiere at Yerba Buena Center in March. ODC and Chorissima will be joined by hammered dulcimer master and popular recording artist Malcolm Dalglish.

Artistic Director Susan McMane deftly spins the balance of the program on the theme of dancing, including Janika Vandervelde’s Dance Ablaze! for voices and percussion, Medieval and Renaissance dances, dance-themed folksongs and music by Schumann, Kodály, Paulus, and more.
