Prep Calendar

Choristers are enrolled in one of seven sections of Prep Chorus. There
are twenty-four 45-minute sessions this year (September – April), including a
parent demonstration and final performance each semester. When you receive
confirmation for one of the classes, please add the following dates to your
calendar.
 

Monday Class: September 2011 – April 2012

3:30-4:15 pm in SF
4:30-5:15 pm in SF (Prep 1 and Prep 2)
 

Spring Semester
Monday 1/9 - First day of class & parent orientation (during class)
Monday 1/16 - No class, MLK Jr. Day
Monday 2/13 - Parent demonstration (during regular class time)
Monday 2/20 - No class, President’s Day
Monday 4/2 - No class, Spring Break
Monday 4/16 - Final class, Performance Workshop & Reception
• Students arrive as usual
• Performance is during last 20 minutes of class
• Reception to follow

Why is Prep Chorus now a year-long commitment?
Previously, the Prep Chorus program consisted of two separate 12-week semesters
(September – December and January – April). In order to provide continuity and consistent
instruction, the SFGC has decided to implement a 24-week curriculum. To meet the needs of
any family wishing to begin the Prep Chorus program mid-year, there will be a Prep Chorus 1
class that begins in January.
