Lot # 1: A Gift for Wine Lovers and French Foodies. Be the first to win a double magnum of Laurent-Perrier champagne and a delectable selection of French macarons provided by Miette Pâtisserie and Confiserie. Take this gift home with you after the Gala!

Lot #2: Enjoy a long weekend getaway in Mile-High Idyllwild.  Escape the big city and enjoy magical mountain scenery with someone special. There’s a cozy cabin waiting for you, with new bamboo floors and a welcoming wood stove.  Nestle yourself and your loved one deep into the Mt. San Jacinto State Wilderness of Southern California, far from the madding crowd, yet just one hour's drive from Palm Springs.

Lot #3: A Night Out at the Opera. This evening features a fine dining experience for two at Absinthe, serving classic and creative French brasserie cuisine and home of Bay Area’s “Top Chef” Jamie Lauren. Also enjoy two premiere box seats and a complimentary backstage tour at the San Francisco Opera 2010-2011 performance of your choice.

Lot #4: Conduct the San Francisco Girls Chorus at Davies Symphony Hall. Stand in the same place where internationally-acclaimed conductors Michael Tilson Thomas, Seiji Ozawa, Gustavo Dudamel, and Susan McMane have dazzled audiences. Experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Conduct a carol at the celebrated SFGC holiday concert in December 2010 before a hall of 2,700 fans and enjoy two premiere orchestra seats at the performance.

Lot #5: Chen Yi Premiere and Angel Island Immigration Station 100th Anniversary commemoration. Enjoy two reserved tickets to the June 2010 world premiere of the anticipated multi-media collaboration of renowned composer Chen Yi and the San Francisco Girls Chorus, featuring the Cypress String Quartet and acclaimed filmmaker Felicia Lowe. This groundbreaking work honors the history of Asian immigration to the west. Participate in an exclusive pre-concert reception at the Asian Art Museum, with private access to the Shanghai exhibition, celebrating the dynamic art of San Francisco’s sister city. Lot #6: Host a Cocktail Party at Your Home and Share the Gift of Choral Music. Host an all-inclusive cocktail event at your home for 20 individuals. SFGC alumna Maggie Lukens ’96 of Koolinary Catering provides passed hors d’oeuvres, featuring high quality local, artisanal, and sustainable foods. Alumna and Sommelier Katy Schumacher ’86 will provide impeccable wines to complement your menu. Musical entertainment provided by an ensemble of the San Francisco Girls Chorus.

Lot #7: Support the Elizabeth Avakian Scholarship Fund. SFGC provides scholarships to over 35% of choristers each year, reaching young women who would not have a chance for the musical training, self-esteem, personal growth, and professional development offered through our programs. Leading bids of $2,000 provide one full-year tuition for an SFGC chorister who may not otherwise be able to participate. Help us raise $40,000 this evening to sponsor 20 talented young women. Gifts at all levels welcome to help us reach this goal.
