Enjoy two reserved tickets to the June 2010 world premiere of the anticipated multi-media collaboration of renowned composer Chen Yi and the San Francisco Girls Chorus, featuring the Cypress String Quartet and acclaimed filmmaker Felicia Lowe. This groundbreaking work honors the history of Asian immigration to the west. Participate in an exclusive pre-concert reception at the Asian Art Museum, with private access to the Shanghai exhibition, celebrating the dynamic art of San Francisco’s sister city. Lot #7: Support the Elizabeth Avakian Scholarship Fund. SFGC provides scholarships to over 35% of choristers each year, reaching young women who would not have a chance for the musical training, self-esteem, personal growth, and professional development offered through our programs. Leading bids of $2,000 provide one full-year tuition for an SFGC chorister who may not otherwise be able to participate. Help us raise $40,000 this evening to sponsor 20 talented young women. Gifts at all levels welcome to help us reach this goal.
